I was born in the lively city of Santiago de Cuba, where music and dance are woven into every heartbeat. My journey as a professional dancer began in 1980 when I joined a competitive dance group in Cuba. Over five amazing years, I mastered 12 traditional Cuban dances, each one a reflection of our rich heritage. These roots have shaped every rhythm and move I bring to AloCubano today.
In 1994, I took a leap of faith and started teaching Cuban dance in Sweden. My dream? To share the magic of my culture with the world. I’ve always believed that if you can imagine it, you can achieve it. That belief became reality in 2008, when the very first AloCubano Festival was born.
Today, I’m proud to say that AloCubano is a global movement. Thousands of AloCubaneros from all over the world join us to celebrate Cuban flavour, rhythm, and joy.
